my much-loved granny gave me my love of walking. “walking fixes everything” she’d say. only later, when times were hard, did i truly understand. i walk. i walk daily. the same route; without diversion. the habit has beaten the path into existence, unmapped or noted, deep beneath the conifer canopy, it remains untouched by the passing of others or the seasons.
